Job summary

Nordson Measurement & Control is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment at customer sites. Travel is required to support a global customer base.

You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and collaborate with engineering, technical support, and sales teams to minimize downtime and ensure customer satisfaction. The role demands strong technical skills and excellent service orientation.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or Military Equivalent.
• 2+ years of field service, maintenance, or technical support experience preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and configure equipment at customer sites.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and software-related issues.
• Repair and replace defective components and parts.
• Respond promptly to service calls and customer support requests.
• Document service activities, maintenance records, and repair reports accurately.
• Provide technical training and operational guidance to customers and end users.
• Collaborate with engineering, technical support, and sales teams to resolve complex issues.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements or upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Manage service tools, test equipment, and spare parts inventory.
• Travel frequently to customer locations as required.
