Job summary

Markem-Imaje is seeking a self-motivated Field Service Representative in the Louisville, KY area. This role focuses on delivering, installing, repairing, maintaining, and testing automated equipment for customers in the field.

You will perform installations, trainings, and routine repairs while troubleshooting issues and ensuring high customer satisfaction. The position emphasizes independence, teamwork, and strong time management in a dynamic service environment.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.
• 3–5 years of mission-critical field service experience a plus.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical system theory.
• Interpersonal and customer relationship skills essential.
• Willing to share knowledge and conduct training to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong time management and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform field service repair and maintenance to support customers and installed base.
• Troubleshoot operational issues in the field; identify and resolve problems.
• Identify customer needs and offer recommendations.
• Contribute to business growth through technical involvement and teamwork.
• Install new equipment, train customers, perform repairs and maintenance as directed.
• Determine and recommend products or services that fit customer needs.
• Develop and maintain technical competency on Markem-Imaje products; complete training.
• Maintain customer satisfaction aligned with quality guidelines.
• Collaborate with sales for demos, training, courtesy calls and follow-ups.
• Be assigned to a divisional service territory and manage primary customer list.
