Job summary

Lam Research Corporation seeks a Field Service Engineer to deliver on-site repair, maintenance, and installation/start-up services for complex semiconductor equipment at customer sites. You will diagnose issues, perform corrective actions, and coordinate with Lam and customers to minimize downtime.

The role requires a BS in Electronics/Engineering (or higher) with 2+ years' experience, ability to interpret schematics, and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree) in electronics, engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience (or advanced degree without experience).
• Proficiency interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics/diagrams/operators manuals.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; clean room environment PPE.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site repair, maintenance service, and installation/relocation start-up services at customer sites.
• Perform diagnostics, isolate issues to component level, and take corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Maintain records coordinating activities between Lam and customers; act as Lam SME.
• Update customers on tool status and discuss opportunities and challenges to maintain trust.
