Job summary

Lam Research in the United States is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support our customers on-site and remotely. You will lead installations, diagnose issues, and ensure operational excellence of complex semiconductor equipment while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Electronics or Engineering and travel, with strong troubleshooting, PLC/electrical/electronic knowledge, and excellent communication in English. Hybrid work model offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, or related field with 2+ years of experience (or advanced degree without experience).
• Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and operation manuals.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Able to work in a clean room and wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site repair, maintenance, and installation/start-up services at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, isolate issues to component level, and minimize downtime.
• Stay up-to-date on semiconductor capital equipment and Lam products.
• Maintain records and coordinate activities with customers.
• Represent Lam to customers, delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.
• Update customers on tool status.
