Job summary

Carl Zeiss Meditec USA, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer II to service, repair, install and maintain ophthalmic instruments in a designated territory.

You will travel to customer sites, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Based in the Cleveland, OH area with potential travel to parts of OH, KY and WV, this role requires independence, strong technical skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of related experience in Electronics, Fine Mechanics, Optics or Medical Field Service.
• BS in Electronics, Engineering, or Computer Technology or related fields preferred.
• A+ and Net+ certifications preferred.
• Must be self-directed and able to work independently with limited oversight.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair designated products within an assigned service territory, including preventive maintenance, installations and upgrades.
• Schedule, verify and modify customer visits based on customer needs and impact to practice and patient wellbeing.
• Complete and submit field service reports daily and weekly expense reports.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and return parts as required by policy.
• Support revenue growth through service agreements and customer retention.
