Job summary

Solutech in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Field Service Engineer 2 (FSE 2) to support critical medical device services on-site. You will perform on-site service, installation, repair, and preventive maintenance, with emphasis on rapid issue resolution and customer satisfaction.

You will work with a team to diagnose hardware, software, and network issues, maintain detailed service records, and uphold safety and quality standards across customer sites.

Qualifications

• Expert in electronic and electro-mechanical engineering with testing equipment experience.
• Strong PC-based systems knowledge and hardware/software troubleshooting.
• Client-focused attitude with good interpersonal communication.
• Fluent in English; strong written and spoken communication.
• Proficient at diagnosing and solving mechanical problems and imaging system defects.
• Experience with Salesforce or ERP tools is preferred.
• Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site service, repair, and installation of company-serviced products including hardware, software, and networking.
• Provide technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment.
• Serve as customer contact on technical and service-related problems.
• Diagnose mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures and determine cost-effective repairs.
• Input detailed service records into company systems and maintain up-to-date documentation.
