MOTAN INC is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician/Engineer to join our Plainwell, MI team. This hands-on role connects customers with our plastic resin handling equipment, ensuring satisfaction across touchpoints.

You will provide technical support, diagnose and repair systems, and conduct on-site visits, with travel as needed. Excellent communication helps you collaborate with engineering and sales for complex issues.

Qualifications

Associate degree or technical certification in Electro-mechanics or related field preferred.
2+ years in a technical service, field service or customer support role.
Able to read manuals, schematics and diagrams.
Proficiency with service management software and basic computer apps.
Willingness to travel locally for on-site visits.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support and troubleshooting to customers in person, by phone and email.
Diagnose, repair and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Conduct on-site service calls and installations at customer facilities.
Document service activities, maintenance records and interactions accurately.
Collaborate with engineering and sales to resolve complex issues.
Train customers on equipment operation and maintenance best practices.
Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and escalate unresolved issues.
