MOTAN INC is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician/Engineer to join our Plainwell, MI team. This hands-on role connects customers with our plastic resin handling equipment, ensuring satisfaction across touchpoints.

You will provide technical support, diagnose and repair systems, and conduct on-site visits, with travel as needed. Excellent communication helps you collaborate with engineering and sales for complex issues.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Electro-mechanics or related field preferred.
• 2+ years in a technical service, field service or customer support role.
• Able to read manuals, schematics and diagrams.
• Proficiency with service management software and basic computer apps.
• Willingness to travel locally for on-site visits.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting to customers in person, by phone and email.
• Diagnose, repair and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct on-site service calls and installations at customer facilities.
• Document service activities, maintenance records and interactions accurately.
• Collaborate with engineering and sales to resolve complex issues.
• Train customers on equipment operation and maintenance best practices.
