Job summary

Nikon SLM Solutions is seeking Field Service Engineers to install and service NXG and Core machines at customer sites across the Americas. Responsibilities include mechanical set-up, electrical hook-up, precision alignment, and establishing customer network interfaces.

The role requires extensive travel (90–100%), mainly in the United States, with occasional international travel. Candidates should have a BS in Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic fields, hands-on trouble-shooting experience, CAD

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Automation Technology or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting with industrial equipment.
• Computer hardware/software setup experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics.
• Experience with 3D printing technology (Metal LPBF) preferred.
• Hands-on experience with automation systems in manufacturing.
• CAD software experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to travel internationally if requested.
• Ability to work independently and cope with pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for Nikon SLM Solutions NXG and Core machines, including electrical, mechanical, cooling, and gas systems.
• Collaborate with customers to ensure successful installation and start-up.
• Train customer personnel on level 1 system use for Nikon SLM Solutions equipment and peripherals.
• Attend meetings with customers to discuss installation or repair status and timing.
• Communicate installation or repair status to customer and Service Manager.
• Work with the Service Manager to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Travel to customer sites (90%-100%), primarily in the United States, with some international travel.
