Job summary

Wärtsilä Corporation in the United States seeks a Field Service Engineer – Energy USA to perform hands-on field service tasks, troubleshoot, and ensure high-quality service delivery at customer sites. You will work with experienced colleagues to resolve issues, coordinate on-site activities, and uphold safety and quality standards.

The role requires extensive travel (about 80%), including domestic and occasional international assignments to power plants, with long periods away from home.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical field service tasks, including advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Support functionality and reliability of customer equipment with corrective actions.
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers during service activities.
• Coordinate on-site activities with customers, external stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
• Escalate complex issues and support senior engineers during service execution.
• Contribute to continuous development of field service processes with feedback.
• Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation per policies.
• Ensure all work complies with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
