Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Field Engineer based in Tinley Park, IL to join a team of customer support engineers. You will analyze and solve problems related to installation, start-up, and operation of distributed control systems at customer sites.

You should have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a similar technical field, with at least two years of related experience and the ability to travel up to 75%. Sponsorship is not provided for US work authorization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar technical field required.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site instruction of customer personnel and write/modify maintenance procedures.
• Direct efforts of customer personnel during installation, modification, or repair of control systems.
• Provide engineering advisory support and liaison within the company.
• Create complete and timely reports detailing problems and services performed.
