Emerson is seeking an Entry-level Field Service Engineer for the Tinley Park, IL area to upgrade plant control systems and support North American power grid and wastewater infrastructure. The role involves on-site customer instruction, installation oversight, and direct engineering advisory work with travel up to 80%.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science, possess strong problem-solving and collaborative skills, and can work legally in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent
• Up to 80% travel with extended field assignments to customers
• Knowledge of engineering fundamentals and problem-solving methods
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Legal authorization to work in the United States

Responsabilités

• Perform on-site instruction of customer personnel, write/modify maintenance procedures and tests, and prepare reports
• Direct efforts of personnel installing control systems and subsystems
• Provide engineering advisory support to customers and internal teams
• Cultivate relationships with project teams and contractors
• Apply troubleshooting, problem-solving, and planning skills
