Job summary

Schneider Electric seeks a Field Service Representative to support critical data center equipment in a home-based, flexible schedule in the U.S. Services business.

You will perform assembly, startup, diagnostic, repair, and preventive maintenance with direct product training and access to company vehicles, tools, uniforms, devices, and laptops. The role requires an Associate degree or equivalent, 2+ years in Field Services, and strong problem-solving, diagnostic, and reporting skills.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in HVAC/R, electronics, or electrical discipline or military training equivalence.
• 2+ years in Field Services or equivalent industry experience.
• Safe driving and vehicle operations skills.
• Skilled at utilizing test and diagnostic equipment.
• Experience reading and interpreting schematics, drawings, and theory of operation manuals.
• Ability to write service reports, correspondence, procedures, effectively present information and respond to customer questions.

Responsibilities

• Pre-site, startup, repair, preventive maintenance, and field modification of equipment.
• Problem solving with customers, electricians, sales partners, technical support, District Service.
• Completion of field service reports, expense reports, preventive maintenance, and startup data sheets.
• Assist Manager/Regional Service Director to resolve escalated issues.
• Continuous learning and training on products in field and classroom.
