Job summary

Roche is seeking a Field Engineering Specialist to repair Roche product lines and provide on-site service in the Rio Grande Valley region. The ideal candidate will diagnose mechanical and software issues, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure high customer satisfaction.

Travel up to 50% is required, with onboarding at our Indianapolis, IN headquarters. A strong background in electronics, electro-mechanical systems, IT, and related fields is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5 years of progressive experience repairing or servicing mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking.
• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry or related field plus 1–2 years of progressive experience repairing or servicing complex mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking.
• Training or certification as defined by RD Services Leadership and policy.
• Ability to travel, including some overnight travel, is required.

Responsibilities

• Showcase expertise in technical repair for Roche assigned product lines.
• Offer valuable service to laboratory customers in your assigned territory.
• Provide routine technical support, on-site service and repair of Roche products.
• Serve as a customer contact for technical and service-related issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures.
• Document all activities, contribute to quality improvement, and maximize customer satisfaction.
