Job summary

TRUMPF Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair TRUMPF CNC machines across the country. The role involves extensive travel nationwide, including overnight stays and occasional international travel.

You will build strong customer relationships, provide onsite training, and collaborate with applications, sales, engineering, and production teams to resolve technical issues and ensure equipment operates within tolerance.

Qualifications

• Associates program or technical school degree in engineering principles or a suitable combination of education and work experience.
• Experience in computer software, file management, electronics, digital circuits, wiring, mechanics and hydraulics is helpful.
• Must have and maintain a clean and valid driver's license and record.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with customers and machines to ensure equipment operates within expected tolerance.
• Provide diagnostic feedback to Product Support and apply technical guidance.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify machine issues and assist with repairs.
• Assemble, install, align equipment, replace parts, and maintain smooth operation of machinery.
• Report technical conditions and information of machines to PSG and management.
• Interface with cross functional teams such as applications, sales, engineering, production.
• Provide onsite training to customers for operation and/or repair of machines.
• Submit organized and helpful service reports for each repair mission.
