Job summary

TRUMPF North America is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, troubleshoot, maintain and repair TRUMPF CNC machines while building strong customer relationships.

The role requires 100% nationwide travel, including overnight stays and occasional weekend and international travel. You will diagnose, repair, and train customers on-site, and report on service activities while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Associates program or technical school degree in Engineering principles or a suitable combination of education and work experience.
• Experience with computer software, file management, electronics, digital circuits, wiring, mechanics and hydraulics is helpful.
• Must have and maintain a clean and valid driver's license and record.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with customers and machines to ensure equipment operates within expected tolerance.
• Provide diagnostic feedback to Product Support and management.
• Read and utilize repair manuals and work orders; assist with updating technical documentation.
• Assemble, install, align equipment and replace parts to maintain smooth operation.
• Submit organized service reports for each repair mission.
