3D Systems, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer to ensure optimal operation of hardware at customer sites. The role involves hands-on installation, relocation, repair, and preventive maintenance with frequent travel to customer locations.

You will perform repairs, analyze customer configurations, and advise on self-maintenance capabilities. The position emphasizes safety, quality, and delivering excellent service in a dynamic, global team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; AA technical degree preferred.
• 3+ years related experience preferred.
• Proficient in troubleshooting, configuration, installation and repair of electronic systems and computers, plus strong mechanical aptitude.
• Knowledge of electro/mechanical device repair with attention to detail.
• Organizational, problem-solving and customer-relations skills are essential.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; professional representation of the company.
• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines with interruptions.
• Travel required; valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 20 pounds frequently.

Responsabilités

• Perform equipment repairs for customers, including warranty and contract status awareness.
• Analyze and understand unique customer configurations, materials and software.
• Assess customers' proficiency, capability, and willingness to perform self-maintenance.
• Execute preventive maintenance tasks as directed by the Service Manager.
• Recognize and articulate the overall business value of customers to 3D Systems.
