Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service medical laboratory analyzers in the Rock Island, IL region. Responsibilities include installation, maintenance, and customer relations, with overnight travel required.

The ideal candidate has a formal electronics background (Certificate/AAS), strong troubleshooting skills, and at least three years of field service experience in the medical device sector. A company vehicle, benefits, and 401K are provided.

Qualifications

• Certificate or AAS degree in electronics or related discipline is required.
• Good experience with electronics and electro-mechanical troubleshooting.
• Overnight travel is required.
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a field service engineer.
• Experience servicing medical lab analyzers or other medical instrumentation is a plus.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and perform preventive maintenance on instrumentation.
• Establish a good customer relations foundation.
• Coordinate problem resolution within the Field Support Group.
• Maintain car inventory, including tools and trunk stock.
• Provide basic on-site training regarding operation of company instrumentation.

No Relocation. Need to reside within the greater ROCK ISLAND, IL (QUAD CITIES AREA).

Service medical laboratory equipment (hematology, chemistry, coagulation, etc) for this manufacturer of medical laboratory analyzers. Current or recent Field Service experience in the Medical Device industry is preferred. You will be servicing automated robotic lab instrumentation in the greater ROCK ISLAND, IL area.

Position requires a good electronics & electro-mechanical troubleshooting background.
