Job summary

Sora Resource Group in Rock Island, IL seeks an experienced Field Service Engineer to install, service, and maintain automated lab instrumentation in the greater Quad Cities area. The role requires overnight travel and a solid electronics/electro-mechanical troubleshooting background.

Candidates should have a certificate or AAS in electronics, 3+ years in field service, and be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. A company vehicle and complete benefits package are provided.

Qualifications

• Certificate or AAS in electronics or related discipline required.
• Experience with electronics and electro-mechanical troubleshooting.
• Overnight travel required.
• Minimum 3 years experience as a field service engineer.
• Experience servicing medical lab analyzers or instrumentation preferred.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and perform preventive maintenance on instrumentation.
• Establish a good customer relations foundation.
• Coordinate problem resolution within the Field Support Group
• Maintain car inventory, tools, trunk stock, etc.
• Provide on-site training regarding operation of company instrumentation.

Job description

No Relocation. Need to reside within the greater ROCK ISLAND, IL (QUAD CITIES AREA).

Service medical laboratory equipment (hematology, chemistry, coagulation, etc) for this manufacturer of medical laboratory analyzers. Current or recent Field Service experience in the Medical Device industry is preferred. You will be servicing automated robotic lab instrumentation in the greater ROCK ISLAND, IL area.

Position requires a good electronics & electro-mechanical troubleshooting background.

• A Certificate or AAS Degree in electronics or a related discipline is required.
• Good experience with electronics & electro-mechanical troubleshooting.
• Overnight travel will be required
• Minimum of 3 years experienceas a field service engineer
• Experience servicing medical lab analyzers or other medical instrumentation would be a plus.
• This job requires the individual to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Responsibilities:

• Will be involved with the installation, servicing, and preventive maintenance of the instrumentation.
