Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Service Engineer to perform fieldwork at customer sites to resolve and repair server systems. This role is a critical part of post-sales support, requiring technical aptitude in server products and excellent interpersonal skills to support our global service network.

Responsibilities include on-site troubleshooting, maintaining preventive maintenance actions, and collaborating with account and product managers to define service programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering (or equivalent) preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years field support experience with complex server systems (X86).
• On-site/off-site support experience and strong hardware diagnostics skills.
• Experience with Windows and Linux environments is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• On-site and remote troubleshooting of Supermicro equipment in enterprise environments.
• Drive customer satisfaction through service excellence and timely repairs.
• Provide 2nd line support to resellers and distributors.
• Train field engineers and assist with problem-solving and root-cause analysis.
• Travel up to 25% to field locations as needed.
