Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Data Center Service Engineer based in Quincy, WA to perform on-site and remote troubleshooting of server systems at customer sites. The role requires strong technical aptitude with server products and excellent interpersonal skills, supporting our global service network.

The position involves fieldwork, travel up to 25%, and collaboration with the Technical Account Manager, Service Manager, and Product Manager to define service programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred (CS/CE/EE) or equivalent experience
• Minimum 2 years field support for X86 systems
• Experience with Windows and Linux is a plus
• Hands-on with servers (Supermicro, EMC, DELL, HP)

Responsibilities

• On-site and remote troubleshooting of Supermicro enterprise servers.
• Lead preventive maintenance and manage repair/parts cycles.
• Provide 2nd line support to resellers and distributors.
• Collaborate with TAM, Service Manager, and Product Manager to define service programs.
• Train and mentor new service engineers.
