Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced security systems installer in New Jersey to deploy and program access control, CCTV, and related equipment for commercial clients. You will read blueprints, install cabling, and troubleshoot complex systems to ensure proper operation.

You will also conduct End‑User training, document work, and work with NFPA/NEC standards. Candidates should have 2+ years in commercial alarm and camera systems and a valid driving record.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 2+ years experience in Commercial Fire Alarm Systems.
• 2+ years experience in Commercial Digital & Analog Camera Systems.
• 2+ years experience in Commercial Access Control Systems.
• Proficient with NFPA Code and NEC.

Responsibilities

• Install complex security systems including wiring, equipment and programming for access control, CCTV, digital recorders, and intercoms.
• Install cabling and equipment enclosures per NEC and guidelines.
• Troubleshoot with electronic test equipment and interpret blueprints and specs.
• Readjust or replace faulty equipment and test operation.
• Perform End‑User training and complete essential paperwork.
