Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Security Service Technician to support commercial customers with expert field service across intrusion, fire alarm, CCTV, and card access systems.

You will troubleshoot, advise customers, and resolve service issues to maintain reliable operations from a remote field location. The role emphasizes clear communication, safety, and dependable repairs, aiming to protect customer assets and ensure operational continuity.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–4 years experience in installing/inspecting or repairing Tyco Integrated Security or similar.
• Experience with Card Access, CCTV and IP cameras.
• HIRSCH certificate is required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and electrical/electronic background.

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace burglar/fire alarms, CCTV and card access systems.
• Identify and fix damaged equipment or wiring and test for proper operation.
• Prepare trouble order forms documenting temporary repairs and actions.
• Communicate system status clearly to customers and care center.
• Coordinate inspections/installations with police, fire departments, or other agencies when needed.
• Provide recommendations and quotes to support customer needs and facility efficiency.
• Deliver high level of customer service and act as a trusted advisor during service visits.
