Job summary

WS Building Materials seeks an Outside Sales Representative to promote wholesale building products to contractors and dealers in the Houston area. You will generate pull-through sales, develop territory selling aids, and drive profitability while maintaining customer mix and product coverage.

The role requires 5+ years of sales experience in wholesale lumber, travel to client sites and trade shows, and strong presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of proven sales experience and/or marketing experience.
• Wholesale Lumber industry knowledge.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Computer proficiency with MS Office/Excel and Outlook.
• Ability and willingness to travel for trade shows, demonstrations, and client meetings.

Responsibilities

• Sell and close profitable sales of wholesale building products to contractors.
• Develop territory selling aids for branch presentations.
• Prospect and develop new clients; nurture existing accounts.
• Present bids, proposals, and estimates.
• Travel for trade shows, demonstrations, and client meetings.
• Maintain safety; wear PPE when visiting job sites.
