Smart Start, Inc. in Maryland is seeking a motivated Business Development Representative to expand market presence and build influencer partnerships within an assigned territory.

This is a field-based role with in-person relationships, requiring travel and a remote-friendly schedule. You will develop referral sources, provide consultative support to government officials, and lead outreach to drive end-user adoption of alcohol monitoring and ignition interlock products.

Qualifications

• Maryland residency is required.
• Experience in sales or business development.
• Ability to work independently in a field-based environment.
• Ability to demonstrate and utilize breath alcohol testing devices.
• Valid driverense and ability to operate a motor vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Establish, develop, and maintain in-person relationships with influencers within the territory.
• Generate new sales through proactive outreach and territory planning.
• Expand product market share by identifying and developing referral sources.
• Provide consultative support to government officials and referral partners.
• Attend trade shows and state-level meetings related to alcohol monitoring and ignition interlock programs.
• Maintain proficiency in CRM systems and monitoring platforms.
