• Associate's degree in Welding Technology or related field required.
• Six months to one year related experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Compiles lists of prospective customers from various sources.
• Travels throughout territory to call on customers and solicit orders.
• Displays or demonstrates product, emphasizing salable features.
• Quotes prices and prepares sales contracts for orders.
• Estimates delivery dates based on production and delivery schedules.
• Prepares reports of business transactions and maintains expense accounts.
• Works with inside sales to keep account activities up to date.
• Coordinates customer training.
• Enters new customer data into computer database.
• Develops and maintains relationships with purchasing contacts.
• Investigates and resolves customer problems with welding processes, equipment and deliveries.
• Attends trade shows.
• Performs inside sales when needed.
• Assists with semi-annual inventories.

Education

Associate's degree in Welding Technology or related field

Six months to one year related experience

Equivalent combination of education and experience
