Job summary

Graybar is seeking an Outside Sales Representative in Little Rock, AR to promote and sell our products in a specialized market. You will develop new prospects and maintain contact with existing customers, visiting them at their sites and other off-site locations to grow business.

You will meet or exceed revenue goals, manage customer relationships, and participate in trade shows and training sessions. A 4-year degree is preferred and significant travel is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years industry-specific experience required; 4+ years experience preferred.
• Knowledge of business administration, sales, and marketing.
• Negotiation skills.
• Ability to learn our business and to work independently to achieve goals.
• Ability to sell and be persuasive.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed annual gross margin budget by promoting and selling products in the assigned territory in compliance with pricing policies.
• Handle customer complaints promptly and report potential claims.
• Keep management informed of local competition and market conditions.
• Carry out sales and merchandise programs as directed, and recommend new items for stock.
• Maintain current customer records, files, and reports of business transactions; assist in collection of past due accounts.
• Participate in training sessions, trade shows, and sales meetings as requested.
• Demonstrate products after sale when necessary.
