Job summary

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, is seeking an Outside Sales Rep in the Fluid Solutions Division. You will be the voice and initial contact for our customers, selling and renting specialty engineered equipment like hydraulic pumps.

You’ll develop relationships, qualify prospects, present solutions, and manage your pipeline using CRM tools. This role includes base salary plus commissions, with a guaranteed onboarding incentive and strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Three years of sales experience.
• Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills.
• Strong planning, problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
• Knowledge of construction or related equipment preferred.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maximize revenue from facilities and construction sites in a defined territory.
• Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers and their subsidiaries.
• Prospect and qualify new accounts from existing, dormant, or competitor accounts.
• Collaborate with specialty division to promote cross-selling.
• Prepare sales action plans and strategies.
• Develop and present company products and services to clients.
• Utilize CRM tools to develop pipeline of opportunities.
• Monitor competitors, market conditions and product development.
• Other duties as needed.
