Job summary

United Rentals is seeking an Outside Sales Rep for Flooring and Facility Solutions (FFS) to target customers, build relationships, and drive revenue in the facility maintenance and restoration sectors. You will be the voice and initial point of contact, using consultative sales skills to understand needs and convert prospects into loyal customers.

3 years of flooring and surface prep experience, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 3 years prior experience in flooring and surface prep.
• Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills.
• Strong planning, problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
• Knowledge of construction or related equipment preferred.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maximize revenue from facilities and construction sites in a defined territory.
• Prospect, qualify and acquire new accounts in facility maintenance and restoration.
• Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers and their subsidiaries.
• Partner with General Rental Sales Reps to develop leads and close deals.
• Liaise with Facility Maintenance & Restoration National Account teams for full account coverage.
• Prepare sales action plans and strategies.
• Develop and make presentations of products and services to clients.
• Use CRM tools to develop a pipeline of opportunities.
• Monitor competitors, market conditions and product development.
• Perform other duties as needed.
