Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is looking for an Outside Sales Representative to sell Fire Alarm, Security, Fire Sprinkler, and Testing/Inspection products to existing and new clients. You will build relationships, identify leads, and follow up on opportunities while meeting customer needs and driving revenue.

Role requires strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills in a fast-paced setting; travel is expected. Base salary is generous with a commission plan and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field.
• Or at least five years of related experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains a network to identify new sales leads.
• Sales focus: Fire Alarms, Security Systems, Fire Sprinkler Systems, and Testing/Inspections.
• Communicates with customers to identify needs and suggests products.
• Demonstrates product functions based on customer needs.
• Maintains customer relationships and resolves post-sale issues.
• Maintains contact with existing and former customers about new products and services.
• Maintains detailed reports of sales activities.
• Provides periodic territory sales forecasts.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
