Job summary

J.H. Larson Company in Fairmont, MN is looking for an Outside Sales Representative who will drive growth by developing new and existing customer relationships, negotiating terms, and delivering value to customers on projects from start to finish.

You will work with inside sales, project managers, and vendors to expand the customer base, meet monthly quotas, and uphold the company’s policies and procedures. This is a field-focused role requiring travel and a commitment to excellent service.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of sales experience in electrical or construction industries.
• Ability to read and present to senior leadership, project managers and buyers.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently.
• Experience with order management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and generate leads through market research, calls, and networking.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors through regular follow-up and meetings.
• Negotiate terms and close sales with customers.
• Manage customer orders from quote to delivery and billing.
• Provide pricing and product feedback to meet customer needs.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Document sales activities in CRM and keep client records up to date.
