Job summary

Core-Mark is seeking a Sales Service Representative to support our strategic sales initiatives in the Columbus area. You will work in stores, collaborating with Sales and Merchandising teams to execute programs and assist with merchandising and sales support, building strong customer relationships.

The role emphasizes professional execution, timely response to customer needs, and in-store problem solving, with a schedule Monday through Friday 8am–5pm and occasional overnight travel minimal.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years in customer service, merchandising or sales.
• Ability to drive to customer locations with personal transportation (mileage and gasoline reimbursement provided).
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, reliable vehicle, and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Merchandising support across all customer channels within the division.
• Maintenance and execution of the SmartStock program (racks, plan-o-grams, ordering, and merchandising activities).
• Open territory coverage (vacations, sick days, etc).
• Identifying and reducing out-of-stocks on shelves.
• Ensuring products are fresh and within date code parameters.
• Attending to customer needs and concerns promptly.
• Ensuring plan-o-gram, marketing best practices, and compliance in stores.
• Identifying display opportunities and maximizing display positioning.
• Ensuring that products are properly displayed, priced, and identified.
• Finding solutions to possible customer challenges with assistance.
• Performing other tasks and duties as assigned.
• Respond promptly and professionally to customer needs and concerns
• Act as a reliable point of contact when supporting assigned accounts
• Troubleshoot and resolve in-store challenges with support from the Sales Team
• Reinforce sales priorities in-store, including distribution goals, promotional execution, and display compliance
