ScottsMiracle-Gro is seeking a Sales Manager for the Field Sales Team to lead and grow our retail presence. You will manage Merchandisers, build relationships with major home center partners, and execute strategic sales and marketing plans in your territory.

The role involves budgeting responsibilities, recruiting and training, and driving merchandising execution across assigned accounts. Strong leadership and a customer-focused approach are essential.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in retail, merchandising, and/or account management.
• Preferred experience supervising/managing other employees and a budget.
• Strong delegation skills.
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
• Experience using sales forecasting tools.

Aufgaben

• Manage and direct the work of Merchandisers including planning, scheduling and delegating work assignments along with providing ongoing feedback.
• Utilize strategic selling tactics by analyzing and preparing key metrics to educate our home center retail partners on business opportunities.
• Develop retail sales/marketing plans and other creative marketing tools and events.
• Develop recruiting plans, interviewing, and make hiring decisions to build out your Merchandiser team while effectively managing your budget.
• Provide job training and communicate product knowledge across the portfolio of Scotts brands.
• Assist retailers in proper merchandising of Scotts product lines, including the use of point-of-purchase materials, as appropriate, to meet account needs.
