Job summary

Scotts Miracle-Gro is seeking a Sales Manager to lead the Field Sales team in developing retail partnerships and driving in-store growth with Home Depot and Lowe’s. You will manage Merchandisers, execute sales and marketing plans, and oversee budgeting while building high-performing teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in retail, merchandising, or account management.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience supervising others and managing a budget is preferred.
• Strong delegation skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience using sales forecasting tools.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including holidays and weekends.
• Current, valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs and be exposed to weather elements.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage Merchandisers, including planning, scheduling and delegating work.
• Analyze key metrics to educate Home Center retail partners on opportunities.
• Develop retail sales and marketing plans and tools.
• Recruit, interview, and hire to build out the Merchandiser team within budget.
• Provide product training across Scotts brands.
• Assist retailers with proper merchandising and in-store displays.
