Job summary

Scotts Miracle-Gro is seeking a Sales Manager to join our Field Sales team in the United States. The role focuses on managing an assigned sales territory, building relationships with major home center partners like The Home Depot and Lowe’s, and increasing in-store presence of Scotts brands.

You will lead Merchandisers, develop sales/marketing plans, manage a budget, and train staff on product knowledge. The position offers bonus potential and vehicle reimbursement, with a strong advancement

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in retail, merchandising, and/or account management.
• Experience supervising/managing others and a budget preferred.
• Strong delegation skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct the work of Merchandisers including planning, scheduling and delegation.
• Use strategic selling tactics by analyzing and presenting metrics to educate home center partners.
• Develop retail sales/marketing plans and other marketing tools/events.
• Develop recruiting plans, interview, hire, and build Merchandiser team while managing budget.
• Provide product training across Scotts brands and communicate product knowledge.
• Assist retailers in proper merchandising of Scott’s product lines.
