Scotts Miracle-Gro is seeking a Sales Manager to join the Field Sales team in growing our retail presence with major home center partners. You will lead Merchandisers, drive sales plans, manage budgets, and develop strong relationships with partners like The Home Depot and Lowe’s.

The role offers bonus potential, vehicle reimbursement, and opportunities to advance leadership within the company. A strong track record in retail sales and team leadership is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in retail, merchandising, and/or account management.
• Preferred experience supervising and/or managing other employees and a budget.
• Strong delegation skills and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct the work of Merchandisers including planning, scheduling and delegating tasks with ongoing feedback.
• Utilize strategic selling tactics by analyzing and presenting key metrics to educate home center retail partners.
• Develop retail sales/marketing plans and other creative marketing tools and events.
• Develop recruiting plans, interview, and hire to build out the Merchandiser team while managing budget.
• Provide product training and communicate knowledge across Scotts brands.
• Assist retailers in proper merchandising of product lines and POP materials.
