Job summary

ScottsMiracle-Gro is seeking a Sales Manager to lead our Field Sales team in growing in-store presence with major home centers. You’ll manage a Merchandiser team, develop sales and marketing plans, and oversee budgets while building strong retailer relationships across your territory.

Ideal candidates have retail or account management experience, strong delegation skills, and a willingness to work flexible hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, plus 1 year in retail, merchandising or account management.
• Experience supervising others and managing budgets preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise Merchandisers, plan work and delegate tasks.
• Use strategic selling to educate home center partners on opportunities.
• Develop retail sales and marketing plans and events.
• Recruit, interview and hire to build Merchandiser teams within budget.
• Provide product knowledge across Scotts brands to retailers.
• Assist retailers with merchandising and POP materials to meet needs.
