Job summary

National Trench Safety in Burlington, NC is seeking an Outside Sales Rep to grow our trench shoring equipment rental business. You will develop new customers, nurture existing accounts, and drive revenue by presenting tailored rental solutions.

The role requires a proven outside sales track record, strong communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with the branch and support teams. This is a full-time, on-site position in Burlington, NC.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of sales experience in industrial, construction, or rental industries.
• Proven track record in outside sales with quota attainment.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable DMV record.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong collaboration and organizational abilities.
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, able to work independently.
• Knowledge of Salesforce and CRM tools; comfortable with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and lead generation within construction/excavation markets.
• Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and revenue streams.
• Promote trench shoring equipment rental solutions and educate clients.
• Meet or exceed sales targets; manage pipeline and forecasts.
• Monitor market trends, pricing, and competitive dynamics.
• Collaborate with branch, support center, and other teams for smooth service.
• Use Salesforce to document interactions, opportunities, and outcomes.
• Other duties as assigned.
