Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking an Outside Sales Rep -- Trench Safety to drive revenue in a defined territory, focusing on underground trench safety equipment rental and supplies for contractor customers.

You will demonstrate products, train customers, and build a robust pipeline using SF.com while collaborating with branch teams to maximize cross-selling opportunities and ensure high customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Three years of sales experience required.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education preferred.
• Knowledge of trench safety or related equipment preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Strong planning, problem-solving, organizational, communication and negotiation skills.
• Certification in Competent Person Training and Confined Space.

Responsibilities

• Maximize revenue from facilities and construction sites in a defined geographical territory.
• Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers, acting as the single point of contact.
• Demonstrate and train customers on Trench Safety products.
• Call potential customers to set up demonstrations and on-site visits.
• Prepare sales action plans and cross-sell with other accounts.
