Job summary

JE Dunn Construction's Advanced Facilities Group seeks a Safety Specialist (Core) to coordinate the field safety program for routine construction projects and lead safety initiatives across sites in Nashville.

You will conduct on-site inspections, perform audits, orient new hires, and monitor subcontractor safety programs with field leadership.

Ideal: bachelor’s in safety/health or equivalent, 0–2 years in construction, and strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety/health-related field preferred.
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• 0–2 years construction or related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement the field safety program for routine construction projects.
• Conduct on-site inspections and safety audits.
• Orient new hires and oversee drug/alcohol policy compliance.
• Monitor prime/subcontractor safety programs.
• Attend project safety meetings with field leadership.
• Assist in accident investigations and recommend process improvements.
• Coordinate with clinics to ensure timely return-to-work.
• Maintain site safety incentive program progress.
