Job summary

JE Dunn Construction in Nashville, TN is seeking a Safety Specialist 2 to coordinate the field safety program for routine and complex projects.

You will conduct safety inspections, document hazard abatement, write reports, and perform trend analysis aligned with JE Dunn's safety strategy and values.

Requirements include 2+ years in construction safety, a safety/health degree preferred, and proficiency in MS Office and safety software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a safety and health-related field preferred.
• 2+ years of construction safety experience required.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, local safety regulations.
• Proficiency in MS Office and safety software/tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and implements the field safety program for routine construction projects.
• Conducts regular safety inspections and audits, documents hazards and abatement.
• Oversees onboarding safety training and compliance with drug/alcohol policy.
• Monitors prime/subcontractor safety programs and participates in safety meetings.
• Assists in investigating accidents and recommends process improvements.
