Job summary

JE Dunn Construction's Advanced Facilities Group seeks a Safety Specialist (Core) to coordinate field safety programs on diverse construction projects. You will conduct site inspections, assist with safety audits, orient new hires, and support prime/subcontractor safety plans.

With 0-2 years of construction experience and a bachelor’s degree preferred, you will work with field leadership to enforce regulations, document findings, and help keep projects compliant while fostering teamwork across

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a safety and health-related field preferred.
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• 0-2 years construction or related experience (Required).

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and implements the field safety program for routine construction projects.
• Conducts regular walk-through inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with laws and Company policies.
• Conducts safety audits on assigned projects by identifying, documenting and recommending abatement of hazardous conditions to clients.
• Oversees new hire orientation and drug/alcohol policy compliance.
• Monitors the implementation of prime contractor and subcontractor safety programs.
• Attends project meetings to discuss safety-related matters.
• Supports field leadership in the safety program and helps chair project safety committee.
• Assists in investigation of project-related accidents and recommends process changes.
• Coordinates with injured employees and clinics to ensure timely return to work.
