Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Safety Specialist (Family - Core) to coordinate the field safety program for routine construction projects and conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with laws and company policies. You will support safety audits, new hire orientation, and safety committee activities across the Advanced Facilities Group.

The role requires 0–2 years of construction experience, a bachelor’s in safety/health preferred, and strong communication and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a safety and health-related field preferred.
Equivalent relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
0–2 years construction or related experience required.
Knowledge of federal, state, local and company safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Coordinates and implements the field safety program for routine construction projects.
Conducts regular walk-through inspections of construction sites to ensure regulatory and policy compliance.
Conducts safety audits on assigned projects and documents abatement of hazards.
Oversees new hire orientation and drug/alcohol policy compliance.
Monitors prime contractor and subcontractor safety programs.
Attends project meetings to discuss safety-related matters.
