Job summary

Pike Corporation is seeking a field-based Safety Trainer with emphasis on training, safety, and quality control for transmission construction. The role involves extensive field visits, developing training materials, and auditing safety programs to ensure regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates have multiple years of experience, a CDL with intrastate, and preferred OSHA outreach certification or related credentials. The position requires a flexible shift and collaboration with the area supervisor.

Qualifications

• 4–10 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Must have commercial driver’s license with Intrastate.
• Ability to train field crews in safety, quality, and work methods.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Visit crews in the field to train and teach safety, quality, and work methods.
• Oversee safety compliance during transmission construction from start to finish.
• Develop training schedules and materials for identified areas.
• Identify crews needing training and coordinate with Area Supervisor.
• Demonstrate proficiency in transmission construction activities and safety measures.
• Create and maintain safety documents ensuring OSHA compliance.
