Job summary

CEC FACILITIES LLC is seeking a Safety Coordinator to implement safety programs on construction projects in Canton, MS. You will conduct daily field walks, ensure regulatory compliance, and develop project-specific corrective actions to address safety issues.

The role requires coaching crews, promoting a strong safety culture, and coordinating audits, tool inspections, and contractor compliance while working with site supervision and foremen. Travel and shifts may vary by schedule.

Qualifications

• Degree or extensive training in environmental health and safety is a plus.
• 1–3 years of construction safety experience (electrical, mechanical safety preferred).
• OSHA 30 Construction required; OSHA 510/511 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist and coach Crew Foreman/General Foremen in ORM boards and the development of Job Hazard Analyses; photograph ORM board daily.
• Submit Site Safety Audit reports daily, recording findings including hazards or deficiencies observed, corrective actions, with attachments and photographs.
• Interact regularly with field personnel and site supervision to address safety observations and provide feedback for resolution.
• Assist with delivery of job site-specific safety orientations for new employees joining the project.
• Assisting site supervision in completion of incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Perform periodic audits of power tools and equipment to ensure equipment is in good working order.
• Subcontractor compliance with applicable rules and regulations, and project safety requirements.
• Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective safety processes.
