Job summary

CEC Companies is seeking a Safety Coordinator in Mississippi to implement safety programs, perform field walks, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee audit processes. The role includes coaching staff to improve safety culture at multiple project sites and managing risk through corrective actions.

This is a safety-sensitive, full-time position with potential shift variations. The candidate should have OSHA 30, 1–3 years of construction safety experience, and the ability to conduct incident

Qualifications

• Degree or extensive training in environmental health and safety discipline a plus
• 1 - 3 years in construction safety experience (electrical, mechanical safety experience preferred)
• OSHA 30 Construction required; OSHA 510/511 preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist and coach Crew Foreman/General Foremen in completing daily ORM boards and Job Hazard Analyses; document ORM board daily.
• Work day and/or night shifts, overtime, and weekends as project schedule requires.
• Submit Site Safety Audit reports daily with findings, hazards, corrective actions and photos.
• Interact with field personnel and site supervision to address safety observations and provide resolution feedback.
• Assist with delivery of job site safety orientations for new employees joining the project.
• Assist site supervision in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Audit power tools and equipment for safe operation and maintenance (scissor lifts, forklifts, fall protection, etc.).
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with project safety requirements.
