Job summary

Cec Companies is seeking a Safety Coordinator to implement safety programs on Mississippi projects, conduct field walks, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee audits. This role focuses on coaching crews to build safe behaviors and a strong safety culture on site.

You will review ORM boards, conduct site safety orientations, and participate in incident investigations while coordinating with site supervision to address hazards and maintain compliance across operations.

Qualifications

• Degree or extensive training in environmental health and safety discipline a plus.
• 1 - 3 years in construction safety experience (electrical, mechanical safety experience preferred).
• OSHA 30 Construction required; OSHA 510/511 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist and coach Crew Foreman/General Foremen in completing ORM boards and Job Hazard Analyses; document ORM boards daily.
• Work day and/or night shifts, overtime, weekends as project schedule requires.
• Submit Site Safety Audit reports daily with hazards, deficiencies, corrective actions and photos.
• Interact regularly with field personnel and site supervision to address safety observations and provide resolution feedback.
• Assist with delivery of job site-specific safety orientations for new employees.
• Assist site supervision in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Perform periodic audits of power tools and equipment to ensure proper maintenance.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with project safety requirements.
• Perform other related duties to ensure efficient safety processes on site.
