Job summary

Dashiell, a unit of Quanta Services, seeks a Field Safety Representative – Field Service to champion a strong safety culture in field testing and commissioning operations. You will lead safety reviews, coach crews on energized equipment, and ensure regulatory and client compliance on high-voltage projects.

Based in Houston, TX, you will work closely with Field Supervisors and Project Managers, conducting on-site safety training and audits to prevent incidents and support project success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s in occupational health & safety may substitute.
• Min 5 years in construction, craft, or safety; electric utility/substation experience preferred.
• Knowledge of energized equipment, arc flash, switching, grounding.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction completed; OSHA 500 preferred.
• First aid/CPR/AED certification current or obtainable.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E, OSHA, DOT, NESC, NEC for electrical field work.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to travel incl. overnight.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong problem-solving and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver pre-job safety plans and JSTAs for field projects.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and consultations at substations and test sites.
• Review safety docs for energized/close-proximity work (LOTO, permits, grounds).
• Ensure proper use and documentation of safety equipment and tools.
• Lead safety training (Arc Flash/NFPA 70E, confined space, First Aid).
• Provide technical safety guidance to Field Service crews and supervisors.
• Support safety policy development and incident investigations.
• Attend safety meetings and participate in client audits.
