Job summary

Dashiell is seeking a Field Safety Representative - Field Service to lead safety on on‑site testing and commissioning for high‑voltage projects in Houston, TX. You will work closely with Field Service crews, ensuring compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, and client requirements while mentoring technicians on energized equipment safety.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years in construction or safety with exposure to electric utility or substation environments, OSHA 30‑Hour, and strong communication

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of construction, craft, or safety experience; experience with electric utility/substation/high‑voltage testing preferred.
• OSHA 30‑Hour Construction required; OSHA 500 or equivalent recommended.
• Current first aid/CPR/AED certification; ability to obtain if needed.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70E, OSHA, DOT, NESC, and NEC safety requirements for electrical field work.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; valid driver's license with travel ability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement pre‑job safety plans and JSTAs for field testing/commissioning projects.
• Conduct routine safety audits, inspections, and consultations at substation/industrial test sites.
• Review and verify safety documentation for energized/close‑proximity work (LOTO, permits, clearances).
• Lead safety training for Field Service personnel (Arc Flash NFPA 70E, First Aid/CPR, etc.).
• Provide technical safety guidance to crews and coordinate with Field Supervisors/PMs to mitigate hazards.
