Job summary

CEC Companies in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Safety Coordinator to implement safety programs, conduct daily field walks, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee project-specific corrective actions. This safety-sensitive role focuses on coaching crews to foster safe behavior and a strong safety culture at sites.

You will mentor foremen, perform audits of tools and equipment, participate in incident investigations, and deliver site safety orientations.

Qualifications

• Degree or extensive training in environmental health and safety
• 1–3 years in construction safety experience (electrical, mechanical safety preferred)
• OSHA 30 Construction required; OSHA 510/511 preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist and coach Foreman/General Foremen in completing ORM boards and Job Hazard Analyses; document ORM board daily
• Work day and/or night shifts, overtime, and weekends as schedule requires
• Submit Site Safety Audit reports daily with findings, hazards, and corrective actions
• Interact with field personnel and site supervision to address safety observations
• Assist with site safety orientations for new employees joining the project
• Assist site supervision in incident investigations and root cause analysis
• Perform periodic audits of power tools and equipment to ensure proper maintenance
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with safety rules and project requirements
• Perform related duties to ensure efficient safety operations
